Tourist Visa

Electronic Tourist Visa (e - Tourist Visa):This is a convenient visa option for foreign tourists visiting India. It is an online application electronic visa, valid for 30 days, 1 year, or 5 years, categorized as single or multiple entries based on different situations. For example, the 30-day electronic tourist visa is for single entry, while the 1-year and 5-year visas can be for multiple entries. The maximum stay for each visit is 180 days, but the cumulative stay for the 1-year and 5-year visas within 180 days cannot exceed 90 days. Applicants need to provide a valid passport (valid for at least 6 months), a scanned copy of the passport photo page, personal photos, travel plans (including itinerary, accommodation bookings, etc.), and a credit or debit card for visa fee payment, applying online through the official website of the Indian immigration department.

Sticker Tourist Visa (Regular Tourist Visa):Applicable for tourists who do not qualify for an electronic visa or prefer the traditional visa method. The validity and stay period are determined by the visa officer, generally valid for 3 - 6 months, single or multiple entries, with a maximum stay of up to 180 days for each visit. Application materials include a completed visa application form, valid passport, passport-sized photos, proof of round-trip flight bookings, hotel booking proof or local accommodation arrangements in India, proof of personal financial status (such as bank deposit certificates, pay slips, etc.), and the applicant needs to submit the materials to the Indian embassy or consulate in China for review.

Business Visa

Electronic Business Visa (e - Business Visa):Mainly aimed at individuals visiting India for business purposes, such as attending business meetings, negotiations, market research, etc. It is also a type of electronic visa, valid for 1 year, with multiple entries, and a maximum stay of 180 days for each visit. Applicants need to provide an invitation letter from an Indian company or organization (including detailed information about the inviting entity, the invitee's name, passport number, purpose of visit, duration of visit, etc.), a copy of the business license of the applicant's company, a dispatch letter (indicating the applicant's position, purpose of visit to India, duration of stay, etc.), a valid passport, a scanned copy of the passport photo page, personal photos, and a credit or debit card for visa fee payment, applying online through the official website of the Indian immigration department.

Work Visa

Employment Visa:Issued to foreign nationals with formal employment in India. Once approved, the employee can apply for an employment visa at the Indian embassy or consulate in China with this permit and other materials (such as a valid passport, labor contract, educational certificates, work experience proof, etc.). The validity of the employment visa is determined by the duration of the work contract, up to a maximum of 2 years, and it can be renewed. The visa holder can bring family members, who can apply for a dependent visa.

Project Visa:Applicable for individuals engaged in specific project work in India, especially large engineering projects. The validity is determined by the project duration, usually consistent with the project's duration, single or multiple entries, with a maximum stay of up to 180 days for each visit. Applicants need to provide project-related documents (such as project contracts, project plans, proof from Indian partners, etc.), the applicant's passport, work experience proof, etc., submitted by the Indian employer or project leader to the Indian immigration department.

Student Visa

Student Visa:Issued to full-time students admitted to Indian schools (including universities, colleges, language schools, and other formal educational institutions). Students must first obtain an admission letter from an Indian school, which will assist them in applying for a visa at the Indian embassy or consulate in China. Application materials include a valid passport, admission letter, proof of tuition payment, proof of financial guarantee (to demonstrate sufficient funds to cover tuition and living expenses), the student's educational certificates, transcripts, photos, visa application form, etc. The visa validity is determined by the length of the study program, usually consistent with the study program duration, allowing students to study and reside legally in India. 

Conference Visa

Conference Visa:Applicable for individuals attending international conferences, seminars, academic lectures, and other activities in India. The validity and stay period are determined by the conference schedule, generally valid for the duration of the conference, single or multiple entries, with a maximum stay of up to the duration of the conference. Application materials include an invitation letter from the conference organizer (detailing the conference content, time, location, name of the inviter, etc.), proof from the applicant's organization (indicating the applicant's identity, relevance to the conference theme, etc.), valid passport, passport-sized photos, visa application form, etc., submitted to the Indian embassy or consulate in China for review.

Medical Visa

Medical Visa:For foreign patients and their companions traveling to India for medical treatment. The validity and stay period are determined by the duration of treatment and medical procedures, generally valid for 6 months, single or multiple entries, with a maximum stay of up to 180 days for each visit. Application materials include a diagnosis certificate and treatment recommendation from an Indian hospital, an invitation letter from the hospital, the patient's medical history, valid passport, passport-sized photos, visa application form, etc., and proof of sufficient funds to cover medical expenses.
