Ordinary Visa:
Personal Travel Visa (G Visa):Applicable for individuals traveling to Hong Kong. Options include 1 time in 3 months, 2 times in 3 months, 1 time in 1 year, and 2 times in 1 year, with each stay in Hong Kong not exceeding 7 days. This visa offers high flexibility, allowing individuals to freely arrange their travel itinerary in Hong Kong.
Group Travel Visa (L Visa):Mainly used for participating in travel groups to visit Hong Kong. The visa options include 1 time in 3 months, 2 times in 3 months, 1 time in 1 year, and 2 times in 1 year. Each stay in Hong Kong is limited to a maximum of 7 days. In the past, L Visa travelers needed to go through travel agencies to enter Hong Kong, but now most ports have lifted this restriction, making the entry process for group and individual tourists much simpler.
Family Visit Visa (T Visa):Designed for visiting relatives who are settled, residing long-term, studying, or working in Hong Kong. The visa options include 1 time in 1 month, 1 time in 3 months, and multiple entries in 3 months. The 1 time in 1 month visa allows a stay of no more than 14 days; the multiple entry visa in 3 months allows a maximum stay of 90 days from the first entry into Hong Kong.
Business Visa (S Visa):Used for mainland residents engaging in business activities in Hong Kong. The visa options include multiple entries in 3 months and multiple entries in 1 year, allowing a stay of 7 days each time within the validity period. To apply for a business visa, proof of business correspondence, such as an invitation from a relevant Hong Kong enterprise or institution, is required.
Stay Visa (D Visa):Includes various types such as work visas and study visas. Applicable for individuals approved by relevant Hong Kong authorities to stay long-term in Hong Kong, such as for work or study. During the validity period of the visa, multiple entries to Hong Kong are allowed, with specific stay durations determined by work, study, etc.
Types of Visa Applications for Foreigners:
Employment Visa:For foreign professionals who have been employed by Hong Kong employers. Applicants are required to have professional qualifications and work experience, and employers need to provide relevant documentation explaining why they are hiring a foreign individual for the position. The visa is generally valid for 1 to 2 years and can be renewed as long as the work requirements are continuously met. Additionally, visa holders can bring their spouses and children under 18.
Investment Visa:Designed for foreign entrepreneurs intending to establish and operate their own companies in Hong Kong. Applicants need to demonstrate a reasonable business plan, prove sufficient funds for investment, and show that the company's operations are expected to make a substantial contribution to the local economy in Hong Kong. The approval of the visa depends on specific business plans and other factors, and extensions can be applied for during the operation of the business. Spouses and children under 18 can also be brought along.
High-end Talent Pass Scheme (High Talent Scheme) Visa:Launched in December 2022, aimed at attracting global high-end talent to develop in Hong Kong without needing to secure a job in Hong Kong beforehand. There are three categories of eligibility: Category A is for individuals with an annual income of HKD 2.5 million or more in the year prior to application; Category B is for graduates from the top 100 universities in the world with at least three years of work experience within five years prior to application; Category C is for graduates from the top 100 universities in the world with less than three years of work experience, and this category has an annual quota allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Hong Kong Quality Migrant Admission Scheme (Quality Talent Scheme) Visa:Based on a points system, aimed at high-skilled or outstanding talents who wish to live and work in Hong Kong but currently do not have job opportunities or companies. Applicants need to pass a scoring test based on factors such as age, education level, work experience, and language proficiency, and must have good financial status to support themselves and their dependents. Successful applicants will receive a visa with an initial validity of 1 to 2 years, which can be renewed. They can also bring their spouses and children under 18, with an annual quota of 1,000 people.
Non-local Graduate Stay/Return Scheme (IANG Visa):Specifically designed for non-local graduates who have obtained degrees from recognized Hong Kong institutions (including full-time undergraduate or higher degrees recognized locally) or institutions in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Recent graduates are defined as those who submit applications within six months after graduation. This visa allows them to live and work in Hong Kong without a job offer, initially valid for one year, and can be extended after finding employment.
