1. Registration Conditions:

(1)Applicant Qualifications:Individuals aged 18 or older or legally established companies, enterprises, and other organizations can apply. Individuals must provide identification documents, such as a copy of their ID card or passport; companies must submit relevant proof documents such as a business license or commercial registration certificate.

(2)Trademark Requirements:The trademark must be distinctive and recognizable, and must not be identical or similar to trademarks already registered or applied for in Hong Kong. It must also not violate the prohibitions in the Hong Kong Trade Marks Ordinance, such as including national emblems, flags, or other specific symbols, as well as content that is deceptive or has a negative impact.

2. Required Materials:

(1)Applicant Identification:If applying as a legal entity, a copy of the company's business registration certificate must be provided; if applying as an individual, a copy of the personal ID must be provided.

(2)Trademark Design:Provide a clear and complete trademark design, including both black and white and color versions, preferably in electronic format. If the trademark design has fixed colors, the colors cannot be changed after registration; if it is a special type of trademark such as a three-dimensional trademark, sound trademark, or scent trademark, corresponding descriptions and samples must be provided according to the requirements of the Hong Kong Intellectual Property Department.

(3)Trademark Name and Description:Provide the Chinese or foreign name of the trademark. If it includes a foreign language, the pronunciation and translation documents must also be provided. If necessary, detailed explanations of the trademark's components, design concepts, usage methods, etc., should be provided to help the reviewers understand and judge accurately.

(4)Categories of Goods or Services:Clearly specify the categories of goods or services covered by the trademark. You can refer to the "International Classification of Goods and Services for the Registration of Marks (Nice Agreement)" for selection, and fill out the application form and provide relevant materials according to the classification requirements.

(5)Trademark Authorization Letter:If applying through an agency, a trademark registration authorization letter must be signed and submitted, authorizing the agency to handle trademark registration matters.

Registered Company:

The materials that need to be prepared include the Articles of Association, company registration form (NNC1), identification documents of shareholders and directors (such as passports, ID cards, etc.), proof of registered address (if using an address provided by a secretarial company, proof must be provided by the secretarial company), etc.
